Homes Staged by Staging Dallas in 2020 Sold Over Asking Price, on Average

It's time for some good news for a change, and we have some fantastic news to share. But first, let's talk about the anomaly that was the 2020 Dallas Real Estate Market.

When the pandemic hit in the spring, there was so much uncertainty regarding home selling and home buying. Real Estate was, at first, not considered an essential business. This meant that for a couple of months no one was moving, no one was selling. And then, it was considered an essential business. The Real Estate Market in Dallas completely cooled off from the hot market it was the year prior. But, after people did start moving around again, interest rates plummeted and that became a huge motivator for people to start home buying. The issue? There wasn't as much inventory. This caused it to become not really a buyer's or seller's market. Simply, it was a Real Estate Market.

Dallas Home Statistics

In 2020, single-family homes in Dallas (staged and unstaged) sold for an average of 98.2% of the list price and spent an average of 47 days on the market. (Statistics according to MetroTex.) There wasn't a single month in 2020 that homes sold for 100% or above the asking price.

Staging Dallas Statistics

2020 vacant homes that Staging Dallas staged, sold in an average of 13 days, with most of them selling in under a week. These homes sold for an average of 100.5% of the asking price.

In addition, occupied homes that were staged by Staging Dallas sold in an average of 8 days, for an average of 100.4% of asking price.

Takeaways

Compared to the average Dallas Real Estate Market, Staging Dallas accelerated the sale of the home by 34 days (over a month!) and added 2.3% to the home's value, on average. To put it in perspective, if you have a $400,000 home, that's almost $10,000 of the price! Even with a market as unique as the 2020 Dallas Real Estate Market, there's always room for improvement, and Staging Dallas knows how to improve a listing!
