Is it Too Late to Try Home Staging?

February 3, 2020

Maybe your house has been on the market with out many bites, maybe your home sale fell through recently or maybe you just learned about the power home staging. Whatever the case, it has brought you to this blog post.

The short answer to the title is, no, it's never too late to try home staging! Home staging, time and time again, has proved to be a powerful tool in home selling and buying. However, home staging can take time and planning, so what we recommend is taking your home off the market and putting back on.

Is unlisting and then relisting your home looked down upon?

No, not really. It is completely ok to take your home off of the market, make some adjustments, do some home staging or improvements, and relist. Just be sure to check with your listing agent on their policies. Actually, according to this article by Zillow, 29 percent of sellers temporarily take their home off the market, according to the Zillow Group Consumer Housing Trends Report 2018. You may have to disclose that the home had previously been on the market, but everyone appreciates improvements.

How long does it take to stage a home?

The time it takes depends on whether the house is vacant or currently furnished, or if we are going to use a mix of owner and Staging Dallas' furniture. You can contact Amy of Staging Dallas to find out more exact estimates of time,

Unlisting and then relisting a home been the case with several Staging Dallas clients. In fact, this particular post was written specifically about a home that had been on the market for 6 months. When the listing agent finally took the house off of the market and then called Staging Dallas about staging the home, it sold in a matter of days after relisting.

So, don't wait any longer. Plan out the next move with your real estate agent and contact Staging Dallas today to get your house sold!
