Does Home Staging Increase Home Value?
People hire home stagers for a variety of reasons – to make their home more attractive to potential homebuyers, to sell their home more quickly, to aid in drawing focus to the home’s more attractive details. More often than not, in hiring a home stager, your home’s selling price increases during the process, putting more money in your wallet.

All of the skeptics out there are now asking in unison: How do we know this for sure?
Every year, the National Association of REALTORS® Research Department presents a study of the impact of home staging on homebuyers. The survey was completed by thousands of real estate agents that represented buyers. The study covers a lot of different aspects in home buying, including the value that the homes increased after the home was staged.
In the 2019 study, 46% cited that their home value increased at some percentage because of being staged. The graph below shows at what percentage increase each experienced, with the majority being 1-5%.
Most importantly, the study reported that only 1% of the homes were negatively impacted by home staging.
The homes that Staging Dallas staged in 2018, they sold for an average of 100.5% of the asking price and averaged 9 days on the market. So, whatever your motivation is for selling your home, home staging comes with more than one perk. See the full NAR report here.
