How to DIY Home Staging (with Guidance)

Some people prefer to hire professionals for everything, or at least what they find important. Maybe it's professional lawn care or house cleaning, and depending on how you like to spend your time, a number can be put on anything. Moving, packing, and house hunting is already a lot of work and we all know usually it is easier to hire out things like home staging! However, there are some people that prefer to take the reins themselves. If you find yourself in the latter category, you may be considering taking on DIY home staging.

If this is your first time tackling home staging, there are plenty of tips on the Internet to get you started. But every home is different, and let's be real - it's not easy to decide what to keep and what to clear before showing your home, what your specific space needs, and what's on-trend for your neighborhood.

What if there was a solution where you receive individualized tips on how to stage your home but as a completely hands-off approach? Well, there is!

Aside from vacant and occupied home stagings, we offer Home Staging Consultations - the perfect solution for the ambitious DIY home stager. For an affordable fee, Staging Dallas will helpfully come into our home and tailor staging solutions, and then leave the implementation up to you.

How does it work?

First, Staging Dallas arrives at your home and after a thorough walk-through, we prepare a detailed recommendation list consisting of what we would repair, update, pack, and arrange.

Next, we go through the entire property with you, starting at the front curb, all the way to the back fence to compile a list of recommended fixes to prepare the home for sale.

Finally, after Staging Dallas leaves, you hold in your hand a comprehensive, written "to do" list. This leaves the decisions ultimately up to you, what you're willing and able to complete on the list, and what you decide not to do.

Does this sound like the right solution for you? For home staging consultations, we encourage that they are done at least 2 weeks prior to photos, in order to allow time for project completion. Contact us today for pricing and timing. We hope to help you on your home selling journey!
