Highlighting the Character

This Arlington home was built in 1986, so it had those charming details that we wanted to show off, like these unique built-in shelves in the living room. To make them stand out, we added different decorative items to bring attention to this one-of-a-kind feature.

A Gleaming Galley Kitchen

Because this is an older home, under 1,600 square feet, it had a galley-style kitchen which means the cabinet and countertops run parallel between walls to make maximum use of a smaller space. We paid special attention to the stainless steel appliances and granite countertops and made them shine, and had a minimal amount of items on the counters.

Maximize and Modernize

Cozier, older homes have rooms with a smaller amount of space. In staging this bedroom and living room, we situated the furniture to create an easy flow of movement and utilized the ample amount of natural light and light-colored walls to make the rooms feel larger than they actually are.
