The Home Office

August 19, 2019

More and more people are working from home these days. If they aren't working from home full-time, then a few days a month is pretty normal. There's less commute time, more flexibility and it's easier on parents of young children. But what does working from home have to do with home staging in Dallas?

Well, when homes are listed, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms are often included in the details. However, working from home means you might need that dedicated working space to keep focus and increase productivity, but the reality is that home buyers might have a difficult time visualizing their home office in one of these "bedrooms." So, this is where home staging comes in.

Staging a Bedroom to be a Home Office

It's important to be thoughtful in choosing which bedroom will become the designated "home office" in the listed home. Typically, it should be one of the less desirable bedrooms. Maybe it's on the first floor, maybe it's a little smaller than the other bedrooms, or maybe it's an awkward space in general.

We like to keep the home office simple and sleek with a desk, chair and a shelving unit that matches the space (speaking of shelves, be sure to check out our post on staging a shelf here!). Without over staging, it's clear what the room's purpose is. Need a little help with your home? Contact Staging Dallas today!
