No Way... That's the Same House?!

In a previous blog post, we lightly touched on how you want to make sure your home staged in a way that will please the majority of the public. You have great taste in home décor, you really do. It might just not be for everyone!

In the photos below, you won’t believe that this is the same home side-by-side. This particular luxury home in Rockwall was on the market for six months with the owner’s furnishings and décor, and with no movement, they then tried to sell it vacant. It wasn’t until a realtor recognized the need for staging that it interest was fostered. So, Staging Dallas came in, worked our home staging magic, and completely transformed the home.

By removing the drapery and letting more natural light in, the room really opened up. We also removed some of the larger furniture, which was causing the room to look much smaller than it actually is. The fireplace, which is very ornate, serves as a focal point in the re-imagined living space.

The dining room had a similar update – we removed the drapery and removed the larger furniture pieces. The gorgeous flooring was absolutely something to be highlighted, so we didn’t feel a rug was needed and the way the light reflects off of the floors made for a fantastic photo.

The bedroom had a very dramatic transformation with a much more contemporary furniture selection and lightening up the space with neutral colors.

Overall, by allowing more light to flood into the rooms, choosing a more contemporary selection of home furnishings and creating focus on aspects of the home that make it unique and beautiful, you would hardly realize this was the same home as before.
